5 tips for better web searching in less time

Most of us use search engines every day, but few know how to make the most of those searches. Given the enormous amount of information on the Internet, almost any search you do will yield thousands, or even millions of results. But if they aren’t the right results, they don’t do you any good. And who has time to spend trawling through loads of “sort of useful” information?

Fortunately, there are a few tricks to help you better focus your searches − so you get the information you need in less time. Here are five “search engine best practices” to try next time you need to search.

1. Use quotes to find a specific phrase

In order to find an entire phrase in a search, enter quotation marks (“ ”) around the terms. For example, the search query butter apples orangewillyield results containing any mention of those words, whereas “butter apples orange” returns only results where those words appear together and in that order in either the title, the URL of the website or the keywords in the document.

2. Use + or – for more targeted word searches

Adding the plus sign (+) or the word AND before a word will require that it be found in all of the search results. Conversely, the minus sign (-) before a word, or the word NOT, requires that it not be found in the search results.

3. Describe what you need with as few terms as possible

Generally, the more words you use in a search query, the more results you’ll get. But that doesn’t mean you’ll necessarily get more useful results. So starting with fewer words helps you keep your searches focused. And even if you don't find what you need, the results will likely give you a good idea of what additional words are needed to refine your results on the next search.

4. Use search engine advanced search options

Many search engines give you the option to do an Advanced Search. You can filter results by date, language or other criteria. Advanced searching also makes the process of searching for specific words (as described above) fast and easy. You can even do site-specific searches.

5. Skip searching and sign up for alerts

If you find yourself frequently searching the same terms to find new information, you can save time by signing up for alerts. For example, if you frequently search for news of your favourite sports team, Google Alerts will send you daily, weekly, or “as it happens” e-mail updates. Another option: Microsoft’s new search engine, Bing, offers RSS feeds for its web search results that you can subscribe to inside any feed reader. Just add “&format=rss” (without the quotes) to any Bing search URL to convert it into a feed.

In addition to these tips, it’s a good idea to explore the features and functionality of different search engines to see which one is right for your needs and fits your preferences. Apart from the well-known Google, there’s Bing, Ask, and Dogpile, just to name a few.

How to avoid workplace drama?

Drama: it’s great for the movies or television, but not so great in the workplace. Work is stressful enough without the added burden of backstabbing, gossip and strategically placed comments. So how can you keep your focus in the right place – on your job – and avoid any unnecessary workplace dramatics? Here are five suggestions.

1. Choose sides carefully (or better yet, not at all)

At some point in your career, or at many points, you’re going to get caught in a dispute between two or more factions. While it may seem politically advantageous to align yourself with management, or more loyal to align yourself with your peers, either route can backfire. The best strategy is to try and stay as impartial and neutral as possible – just focus on your own responsibilities, and deal with people on both sides of the conflict equally and fairly.

2. Be direct, but not confrontational

If you have a disagreement or problem with someone at work, you generally have three options. You could:

a) Ignore the problem and hope it goes away;
b) Complain bitterly about this person behind their back;
c) Talk to the person directly to try and resolve the issue.

Guess which is the most likely to achieve the outcome you want?

Talking directly with someone is always the best way to get your concerns out into the open and hopefully work out a compromise. Try to bring up your concerns in a neutral way; address the issue, not the person. To avoid sounding accusatory or confrontational, use “I” or “we” statements to bring about a collaborative solution. For example, instead of: “You never get your work done on time,” try: “I feel like that last project didn’t go as well as it could have. What can we do differently next time to make sure we meet our deadlines?”

3. Be careful what information you share

It can be difficult to resist the temptation to repeat things that have been told to you in confidence, or repeat a juicy rumour you heard at lunch. But if you’re serious about getting ahead, resist you must. Revealing sensitive or confidential information (such as impending company layoffs or account losses) can only do harm to your reputation, or even your job. Some companies have very strict policies on how and when information can be shared – policies that, if broken, could possibly even result in termination of your contract. So don’t take the risk!

4. Be friendly and cooperative

While it’s important to focus on tasks and be professional, it’s a smart idea to stay on good terms with colleagues. That means always being polite, friendly and willing to help someone out. This doesn’t mean you have to say “yes” to everything, or offer any grand gestures; simple things like offering to help change the toner in the photocopier, or always greeting your colleagues at the beginning and end of the work day, can mean a lot. If you build a reputation as a pleasant person who doesn’t just care about himself, you’ll be less likely to find yourself the target of malicious gossip, and more likely to move up the career ladder.

5. Stay positive

It’s natural to sometimes get frustrated and angry with your work. But no one wants to work with someone who is constantly complaining. A perpetually negative attitude (“I can’t stand working here”; “The boss is such a jerk”; “I’ll never get promoted”) just feeds on itself, making you and everyone around you miserable. So try to focus on what you like about your job: your great colleagues, the flexible hours or the opportunities to learn new skills. And if you do have a complaint, try to offer a solution so that you’re turning something negative into a positive.

A very touching moment

Year : 1975 Situation : Last day of school

Arjun Singh and Pargat Singh are very close friends.

The whole school talked about their friendship. They had been friends right from their kindergarten days. They have studied together, roamed around together, sat together in school.

, ate together. They both wanted to become Police officials and serve the country.But today was a day they always dreaded. It was their last day together.

On their way back from School Arjun started talking

Arjun : Bro! I am moving to a different city to study. I will miss you man

Pargat: I will miss you too mate. But nothing can break our friendship. We will at least meet once every year.

Arjun: Yes that is a dealand they parted with tears in their eyes...

As time went by, both got busy with their work life. They kept their promise for two years and after that they moved on with their own lives and in the process Arjun lost his contact with Pargat. Time went by and both became Police Officers.

ClearCase Issue

ClearCase Issues: I have faced the following issue in my ClearCase practice. Normally we cannot create hard link for the folders in the ClearCase. But in my case the one of the folder with its sub directory is present in two folders in the same VOB. If I checkout/add new element will be reflected in other folder also.

E.g. The folder “Test” in the 00_Baseline has 2 text files "new2.txt" and "new21.txt".

The folder “Test” has the hard link at 01_Requirements.

If I checkout from any of these folder the file will get checkout in other the folder.

I ran the following command to find the folder has any hard links. It shows the other folder path as a significant pathnames

cleartool describe -aliases -all Test

Reason for this behavior:

1. I checkout the folder “00_Baseline” then cut the folder “Test” and pasted in to “01_Requirements” folder.
2. Now the folder “Test” is not visible in “00_Baseline”
3. Now the “00_Baseline” is in checked out Mode.
4. The “01_Requirements” had created one more version with Added element “Test”
5. Now I undo checkout the folder “00_Baseline” Now the “Test” folder came back to “00_Baseline” again.

Normally we do not checkout the parent folder to cut and paste the elements in the same VOB. However if the user has did the same steps as mentioned above will create the confusion.
I felt this is the defect in ClearCase. Kindly let me know your views on this issue.

Dos and Don’ts of Effective Negotiation

In this economy, being able to close important deals and negotiate better prices and terms is more essential than ever. But if you’re worried that being a good negotiator means having to fight dirty, you’re wrong – a negotiation should be an opportunity for give and take that results in a win-win situation for the participants involved. Learning how to negotiate effectively can help you achieve these winning results while strengthening business relationships.Start improving your negotiation skills with these dos and don’ts:

Don’t appear needy. People can smell desperation. This will weaken your position and allow opponents to get you to make too large a concession or give too deep a discount. To keep yourself from appearing desperate and vulnerable, remember:

Don’t take it personally. Getting your emotions involved will cloud your ability to make sound arguments and judgments. To keep yourself from losing your cool, think of yourself as a professional dealmaker who will not be personally affected by the outcome of the negotiation. Take your emotions out of the equation. That way when things aren’t going your way, you’ll:

Be prepared to walk away. Being able to say “no” and mean it ensures you don’t end up making a bad deal. Before going into negotiations – and before your emotions and the heat of the moment become part of the mix – set your walk-away point. Then if the terms offered do not match up to your expectations, walk away. This not only strengthens your position, it will also win you some respect. Another thing to keep in mind is:

Don’t force it. By dragging out negotiations that are going nowhere, you’re wasting time and causing a lot of frustration. By pressuring your opponents to make a concession they don’t want or can’t afford to make, you’re creating bad feelings that could lead to mistrust and a wary working relationship. Remember, it’s about give and take, and when neither party is willing to budge, then the negotiation is over. And like many things in life, it’s beneficial to:

Do your research. Good negotiators come prepared. They find out what their opponent’s needs and wants are and what competitors can offer. They anticipate objections so they can counter them with arguments or other concessions. So do your homework and:

Practice, practice, practice. Like anything else, getting good at negotiating requires practice. Develop your confidence by practicing whenever you have the chance, whether it’s at a flea market or at home with your family members. Get used to negotiating in your daily life; then when you have to in an important business situation you can comfortably and confidently:

Ask for it. Many people dislike negotiating because they feel embarrassed or scared asking for things they want. But if you don’t ask for something, you’ll rarely, if ever, get it. In fact, you may be pleasantly surprised by what you can get if you ask for it. If the answer is no, then you have a starting point for your negotiations.Those who are good at negotiating usually enjoy it. So don’t dread or fear negotiations. See it as a fun exchange, a battle of skills, practice grounds for future negotiations, and more importantly, as a way to build up the client-vendor relationship and win terms, prices and deals that are advantageous for you and your business.

விஜயகாந்த் இடத்தை மோகன்லாலால் ஏணி வைத்தாலும் நெருங்க முடியாது என்பது மழலைகளுக்கும் தெரிந்த ஒன்று!

1) கடந்த 30 வருஷத்துக்கும் மேலாக நமது பொதுச் சொத்தான சந்தன மரங்களைக் கடத்தியும், யானைகளைக் கொன்று அதன் தந்தங்களை எடுத்தும் கடத்தல் செய்து வந்தவன் சந்தனக்கடத்தல் காரன் வீரப்பத்திரன். அவனைப் பிடிக்க பல போலீஸ் அதிகாரிகள் போனபோது இரக்கமற்று அவர்களை சுட்டுக்கொன்று காட்டுராஜாவாக வாழ்ந்து வந்த கடத்தல் மன்னன் வீரபத்ரனை "கேப்டன் பிரபாகரனாக" தனியாக நின்று சண்டைபோட்டு உயிருடன் பிடித்து வந்தவர் யார்? மோகன்லாலா...? இல்லை நமது கேப்டன்!!!

2) இளம்பெண்களைக் கடத்தி பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் செய்து, பின்பு அவர்களது உடல் உறுப்புக்களை எடுத்து வெளிநாடுகளுக்கு கடத்தல் செய்து வந்த கொள்ளைக் கூட்டத்தை மொத்தமாக "புலன் விசாரனை" செய்து தனியாக நின்று பந்தாடி கூண்டோடு அழித்து பல அவார்டுகளை குவித்தவரின் பெயர் என்ன மோகன்லாலா...? இல்லை நமது கேப்டன்!!!

3) பாகிஸ்தானில் இருந்து நமது நாட்டுக்குள் ஊடுருவி, அப்பாவிப் பொதுமக்களைக் கொன்று குவித்து, நமது நாட்டை சீரழிக்க நினைத்து, இறுதியில் பள்ளிச் சிறுவர்களைக் கடத்தி வைத்து தப்பிக்க நினைத்தார்கள் பயங்கரவாதிகள்... இந்தியாவே அதிர்ச்சிக்குள்ளாகி பிரதமரே முடிவெடுக்க முடியாமல் இருக்கும் போது, அரசாங்கத்து தெரியாமலே தீவிரவாதிகளின் இருப்பிடத்துக்குள்ளேயே சிங்கம் போல சென்று தீவிராவாதிகளை ஒழித்து, அதன் தலைவன் வாசீம் கானை இரண்டு காலாலேயே கழுதை போல் உதைத்து, அபார வீரன் "சேதுபதி IPS" என்று பெயரெடுத்தாரா மோகன்லால்..? இல்லை நமது கேப்டன்!!!

4) "மாநகரகாவல்" நிலையத்தில் இருந்து "திருமூர்த்தி"யாக வலம் வந்து நமது நாட்டின் இரண்டு பிரதமர்களை இரு வேறு தருணங்களில் குண்டு வைத்து கொல்ல, அயல்நாடுகளின் உத்தரவின் பேரில் செயல்பட்ட கூலிப்படையை கூண்டோடு கைலாயம் அனுப்பினாரே... அந்த மாவீரனா இந்த மோகன்லால். இல்லை நமது கேப்டன்!!!

5) தினமும் ஒருவேளை சோற்றுக்கு நமது மக்கள் அவதிப்படும்போது, மக்களுக்காக அராசங்கத்தால் வரும் ஒரு ரூபாய் ரேஷன் அரிசிகளை மொத்தமாக சுருட்டிய கூட்டத்தை, அவருக்கு தெரியாத அயல் மாநிலங்களில் உள்ள கடத்தல் தீவிரவாதிகளின் கூடாரத்துக்குள்ளேயே சென்று தவிடுபொடியாக்கி, நமது 100 கோடி மக்களின் பசியை தீர்த்து வைத்த 'தேவனா' இந்த மோகன்லால்..? இல்லை நமது கேப்டன்!!!

6) இந்தியாவின் எந்த ஓர் ஆட்சியாலும் அதிகாரத்தாலும் ஒழித்திட முடியாத லஞ்சத்தை, ஒற்றை ' ரமணா'வாக அவதராமெடுத்து மறுஒலிபரப்பு மலர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்திய அனுபவம் உண்டா மோகன்லாலுக்கு?... இல்லை நமது கேப்டனிடம் உண்டு.

The problem: my computer is running slowly

ஈழத் தமிழர்கள் இதுவரை தமிழகத்துக்காக என்ன செய்தார்கள். இந்தியத்தமிழர்களுக்காக என்ன செய்திருக்கிறார்கள். இந்தியாவை முன்னேற்றப் பாதையில் கொண்டு சென்ற ஒரு இந்தியப் பிரதமரை பிரபாகரனின் தனிப்பட்ட வஞ்சம் தீர்ப்புக்காக கொன்றார்கள். பல தமிழ் தலைவர்களை கொன்றார்கள். இந்திய அமைதிப் படை இலங்கை சென்றிருந்த போது சிங்களப் படையுடன் சமரசமாகி இந்தியப் படையினரை வஞ்சம் தீர்த்தார்கள். இப்போது கூட பல வெளிநாடுகளில் இருக்கும் இலங்கை தமிழர்கள்.இண்டர்நெட்டிலும். பிளாக்கிலும் தமிழ முதல்வரை மிக அசிங்கமாக பேசியும். சோனியா காந்தியையும் சொல்ல தகாத வார்த்தைகளில் திட்டியும் வருகின்றனர். உண்ட வீட்டிற்கு இரண்டகம் செய்யும் செயல் இது. நாம் யாராவது நடுநிலைமையாக எழுதினாலோ. பிரபாகரன், புலிகளை ப் பற்றி எழுதினாலோ மிக அசிங்கமாக திட்டுவார்கள் இதுதான் இன்று இலங்கை தமிழர்கள் செய்வது. இன்றைக்கு தான் செய்த விதைக்கு வினையருத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றாரகள்.இதற்கு ஏன் இந்தியாவையும், தமிழகத்தையும் நோகின்றார்கள் என்று தெரியவில்லை. இது வேறு ஒரு நாட்டின் பிரச்னை. இந்திய இறையான்மைக்கு உட்பட்டு இந்திய அரசு என்ன செய்ய முடியுமோ அதை செய்கிறது. அண்டை நாட்டை பகைத்துக் கொள்ள முடியாமல் சில உதவிகளையும் செய்திருக்கிறது. நாம் செய்யவில்லை என்றாலும் சைனாவும். பாகிஸ்தானும் உதவிகள் செய்யதான் போகிறார்கள். அவர்களாகவே துப்பாக்கி தூக்கினார்கள் இதன் நல்லது கெட்டதுகளை அவர்கள் அனுபவிக்கத்தாக் வேண்டும். இந்தியாவையோ, தமிழகத்தையோ கேட்டுக் கொண்டுதான் இலங்கை தமிழர்களோ, புலிகளோ இதுவரை செயல்படவில்லை. இனியும் செயல்படப் போவதில்லை இலங்கை பிரச்னைக்காக இந்திய இறையான்மையை விட வேணடாம். தமிழகத்திலும் தேவையற்ற கலவரங்கள் வேண்டாம். அமைதிப் பேச்சுவார்த்தைக்கா நாம் உதவலாம்.ஆயுதத்தால்தான் தீர்க்க முடியும் என்றால் அவர்களே பார்த்துக கொள்ளட்டும் நம்மால் முடிந்த உதவியை ஈழ மக்களுக்கு செய்வோம். புலிகளுக்கு அல்ல.இது மட்டுமல்ல வெளிநாடுகளில் வாழும் எத்தனை இலங்கை தமிழர்கள் உக்கிர போர் நடக்க ஆரம்பித்ததும். உடனடியாக இலங்கை வந்து போரில் கலந்து கொண்டார்கள் எனறு சொல்லுங்கள் பார்ப்போம். இன்டர்நெட்டில் தமிழக தலைவர்களை திட்டுவதோடு சரி.

தமிழகத்தில் தேவையில்லாத பிரச்னை ஒருபுறம் இருக்குட்டும். இதுவரை புலம்பெயரந்த இல்ங்கை தமிழர்கள் உக்கிரப் போர் என்றவுடன் உடனடியாக வெளிநாடுகளிலிருந்து கிளம்பி வந்து மண்ணிற்காகவும், மக்களுக்காகவும் பேராட எத்தனை பேர் கிளம்பி வந்தார்கள் என்று சொல்லுங்கள் பார்ப்போம். இவர்கள் இன்டர்நெட்டிலும், பிளாக்கிலும் சுலபமாக நாலு பதிவுகள், புலிகளைப் பற்றியோ நடுநிலையாகவோ பேசுபவர்களை தமிழக தமிழர்கள கேவலமாக திட்டுவது இதுதான் நடைபெறுகிறது.

இலங்கைத் தமிழர்கள் தமிழர்களையும். தமிழகத்தையும் தங்களுக்காக பயன்படுத்திக் கொண்டார்களே தவிர வேறு எதுவும் செய்து விடவில்லை. இங்கிருந்து கடத்துவதற்காகவும், சொத்துக்கள் வாங்கவும், போலி பாஸ்போட் எடுக்கவும்,இப்படி நிறைய. நடுநிலையாகவோ, புலிகளைப்பற்றி குறைவாகவோ யாராவது எழுதினால் மிக கேவலகமாக இணையங்களில் திட்டுவார்கள். இலங்ளை தமிழர்கள் நடத்தும் களங்களில் நாமெல்லாம் எதையும் பதித்துவிட முடியாது. ஆனால் நமது தமிழக களங்களில் இவர்கள் வந்து புலிகளின் கொடியை தாங்கிப் பிடிக்க தவறுவதில்லை. ஈழ பொதுமக்கள் பாவம் அவர்களுக்கு உதவ வேண்டும். புலிகளுக்கு உதவ தேவையில்லை.

இப்படிக்கு அன்பு பேரன், கலாநிதி மாறன்

அன்புள்ள தாத்தா அவர்களுக்கு, வணக்கம். நாங்கள் இன்றும் எங்கள் ஆசானாக, எங்களது தந்தை மறைவுக்கு பிறகு தாத்தாவாக மட்டுமின்றி எங்களது தந்தையாகவும் மதித்திருக்கும் தாங்கள் இன்று எழுதியுள்ள கடிதம் எங்கள் இதயத்தை பிளப்பதாக இருப்பதால் இந்த தன் நிலை விளக்கத்தை பணிவன்போடு உங்கள் காலடியில் சமர்ப்பிக்கிறோம். எங்கள் மீது அரசியல் ரீதியான குற்றச்சாட்டு என்றால்கூட பொறுத்துக் கொண்டிருப்போம். ஆனால் தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் எங்களது நன்றியுணர்வு, நாணயம், நேர்மை இவைகளுக்கு எதிராக & தங்களை சுற்றியிருக்கும் சில சுயநலமிகள் கொடுத்த தவறான தகவல்களை நம்பி, எங்களை இதுவரை பல திக்குகளிலிருந்து அடித்துக் காயப்படுத்தியது போதாதென்று, இப்போது எங்களது இதயத்தையே வெடிவைத்து தகர்க்கும் அளவுக்கு உண்மைக்கு மாறான தகவல்களை தந்திருப்பதால் இந்த விளக்கத்தை வெளியிட வேண்டி வந்துள்ளது. இந்தக் கடிதம்கூட தங்களது மனதார எழுதியிருக்க மாட்டீர்கள்; யாரோ சிலரைத் திருப்திப்படுத்த எழுதியிருப்பீர்கள் என்பதை நாங்கள் உணர்கிறோம்.

நீங்கள் அடிக்கடி குறிப்பிடும் வகையில் உங்களது மனசாட்சியாக விளங்கிய எங்கள் தந்தை முரசொலி மாறன் அவர்கள் மறைந்த பிறகு அவர் அடியற்றி இந்த இயக்கத்துக்கும், நம் குடும்பத்துக்கும் நன்றியுள்ளவர்களாக, விசுவாசிகளாக நடந்து வந்துள்ளோம். இரு குடும்பங்க ளுக்கும் சேர வேண்டிய தொகை பங்கீடு செய்ய சொன்னதே தாங்கள்தான். அதை தற்போதே பிரிக்க வேண்டாம் என்று நான் கூறியபோது தாங்கள் தயாநிதியை அழைத்து, ‘நான் இவ்வளவு சொல்லியும் இன்னுமா பங்கீடு செய்யவில்லை? இன்னும் 2 நாளில் முடிக்கவேண்டும்’ என்று தாங்கள் கட்டளையிட்டதை மறந்துவிட்டீர்களா? வீட்டில் இருக்கும் பெரியவர்கள் ‘தாத்தா சொல்படி செய்’ என்று சொன்னார்கள். பிறகுதானே தங்கள் விருப்பப்படி பங்கீடு செய்யப்பட்டது. தங்கள் குடும்ப பங்கிற்கான தொகையை அதிகப்படுத்தி அதனை ‘ரவுண்டாக‘ தரக்கூடாதா என்று கேட்டபோது, ‘நீங்கள் எவ்வளவு வேண்டுமானாலும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்‘ என்றுதானே பதிலளித்தோம். தற்போது முரசொலி இருக்கும் இடத்தை அப்படியே விட்டுக் கொடுக்க சொன்னீர்கள். அதற்கும் நாங்கள் எந்த மறுப்பும் தெரிவிக்கவில்லை. அதன் பிறகு தாங்களே ‘மனமகிழ்வுடன் பிரித்துக் கொள்ளப்பட்டது’ என்று எல்லோரிடமும் கூறினீர்கள். பல பத்திரிகை சந்திப்பிலும் தாங்களே குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளீர்கள். இதற்கு பிறகு ஓராண்டுக்கு மேலாக நமது உறவு சுமுகமாகவே சென்றது.

கடந்த பொதுத்தேர்தலுக்கு முன் தமிழ்நாட்டில்உள்ள எல்லா ஏடுகளும் தி.மு.க.வுக்கு எதிரான செய்திகளை வெளியிட்டு தி.மு. க.வை இருட்டடிப்பு செய்தபோது, அதனால் மனம் நொந்த நீங்கள் ‘கழகத்துக்காக ஒரு நாளேடு வேண்டும். தினகரனை வாங்கி நடத்து’ என்று கூறியபோது, தங்கள் கட்டளையை ஏற்று அந்த இதழை வாங்கினோம். தினகரன் பத்திரிகையை ஆரம்பத்தில் ஒரு ரூபாய்க்கு விற்று அதன் விற்பனையை உயர்த்த வேண்டும்; அதனால் கோடிக்கணக்கில் நஷ்டம் ஏற்படும் என்ற நிலையிருந்தும், ஒரு சவாலாக ஏற்று நடத்த முன்வந்தோம். ஆரம்பத்தில் இவ்வளவு நஷ்டம் ஏற்படும் என்று தங்களிடம் தெரிவித்தபோது நீங்கள்கூட ‘‘எனக்காக இதனை தாங்குவியா?‘‘ என்று கேட்டீர்கள். நான் அதற்கு, ‘தாங்கித்தான் ஆக வேண்டும். இன்றைய நிலையில் கழகத்துக்கு ஆதரவாக ஒரு ஏடு வேண்டும், அதனால் நஷ்டம் ஏற்பட்டாலும் பரவாயில்லை’ என்று உங்களிடம் உறுதி கூறி பத்திரிகை ஆரம்பித்தோம். இதுபற்றி பேசியபோது ஸ்டாலின் மாமா மற்றும் குட்டியப்பா (செல்வம்) போன்றவர்கள் உடன் இருந்தனர். அப்போதே தங்களிடம் நாங்கள் ஒரு உறுதி கேட்டதையும் மறந்திருக்க மாட்டீர்கள். ‘தினகரனை முரசொலி போல நடத்த முடியாது. எல்லா செய்திகளையும் போடுவோம். தி.மு.க. செய்திக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் தரலாம். அப்போதுதான் விற்பனையை உயர்த்த முடியும்’ என்று கூறினேன். அதற்கு தாங்கள் ஒப்புதல் அளித்த பிறகுதான் தினகரன் துவக்கப்பட்டது. தேர்தல் நேரத்தில் தினகரன் நாளிதழ் தி.மு.க. கூட்டணி வெற்றிக்காக எப்படி பாடுபட்டது என்பது தாங்களும், கழக தோழர்களும் அறியாததல்ல.

அப்படி கழக வெற்றிக்காக பாடுபட்ட தினகரன் ஏட்டில் ஒரு கருத்துக் கணிப்பு வெளியிடப்பட்டது. அந்த கருத்துக் கணிப்பும் திடீரென வெளியாகவில்லை. அரசியல் மட்டுமின்றி நாட்டிலுள்ள பல சூழல்களை ஆய்ந்து கருத்துக் கணிப்பு தொடர்ந்து வெளியானது. கருத்துக் கணிப்பு எடுக்கும் பணியும் உலக அளவில் பெயர் பெற்ற ஒரு நிறுவனத்திடம் தரப்பட்டு அவர்கள் எடுத்துத் தந்த கருத்துக் கணிப்பைதான் வெளியிட்டோம். சிறப்பாக பணியாற்றும் மத்திய அமைச்சர் என்று தினகரன் கருத்துக் கணிப்பு மட்டுமல்ல, அகில இந்திய அளவில் வெளிவரும் ஏடுகளும் தயாநிதி மாறனுக்கு முதல் மற்றும் இரண்டாவது இடத்தை வழங்கியதை மறந்திருக்க மாட்டீர்கள். அப்போது தயாநிதியை நீங்கள் பாராட்டியதை நாங்கள் மறக்கவில்லை. அதை தமிழாக்கம் செய்து முரசொலியில் முதல்பக்கத்தில் வெளியிட செய்ததும் தாங்கள்தானே. முரசொலியில் வந்த கருத்துக் கணிப்பிலும் தமிழகத்தை சேர்ந்த கூட்டணி கட்சி சார்ந்த மத்திய அமைச்சர்கள் தயாநிதி மாறனுக்கு பின்னர்தான் இடம் பெற்றிருந்தனர். அதை முரசொலி வெளியிட்டபோது தவறாகவோ, கூட்டணி யை பிளவு படுத்தும் என்றோ தங்களுக்கு தோன்றவில்லை. ஆனால் அதேபோன்ற கருத்துக் கணிப்பை தினகரன் வெளியிட்டபோது அதற்கு சாயங்கள் பூசப்பட்டு, எங்கள் மீது வீண்பழி சுமந்தப்பட்டது.

ஸ்டாலின் மாமாவுக்கு முதலிடம் தந்து அளிக்கப்பட்ட கருத்துக் கணிப்பை தினகரன் வெளியிட்டதும், மதுரையில் சிலர் அரசுப் பேருந்துகளின் கண்ணாடிகளை உடைத்து & தினகரன் ஏட்டை கொளுத்தினர். ‘தினகரன் கருத்துக் கணிப்பு வெளியிட்டதற்கு அரசு பஸ் என்ன செய்யும்? அதை ஏன் உடைக்கிறீர்கள். வேண்டுமானால் தினகரன் அலுவலகத்தை அடியுங்கள்‘ என சென்னையிலிருந்து யாரோ தெரிவித்ததாகவும் அதனால் தினகரன் அலுவலகம் தாக்கப்பட்டதாகவும் நமது குடும்பத்தினரே பலரிடம் பேசியதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. அது எந்த அளவு உண்மை என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிவீர்கள். பின்னர் தினகரன் அலுவலகம் தாக்கப்பட்டதும் அதனால் மூன்று அப்பாவி உயிர்கள் பலியானதும், லட்சக் கணக்கில் நஷ்டம் உண்டானதும் தாங்கள் அறியாததல்ல! கருத்துக் கணிப்பில் அதிகமான மதிப்பீட்டை ஸ்டாலின் மாமாதான் பெற்றிருந்தார் என்பதால் அதனை வெளியிட்டோம். பல ஆண்டுகாலமாக கட்சிக்காக தங்களைப் போன்றே தமிழகம் எங்கும் சுற்றிச் சுழன்று பணியாற்றி & கட்சிக்காக பலமுறை சிறைசென்று, மிசாக் கொடுமையை ஏற்ற ஒருவருக்குத்தானே அதிக மதிப்பெண் கிடைத்துள்ளது என்று தாங்களும் மகிழ்வீர்கள் என நினைத்தோம். ஏனோ அதனை பெரிய பாதகச் செயலாக தாங்கள் எடுத்துக் கொண்டது ஏன் என்று எங்களுக்கு தெரியவில்லை.

தினகரன் வெளியிட்ட ஒரு கருத்துக் கணிப்புக்காக தயாநிதிக்கு தண்டனை வழங்கப்பட்டது எந்த வகையில் நியாயம் என்பதை தாங்கள் கோபத்தை துறந்து சிந்தித்திட வேண்டுகிறோம். வேறு யாரையாவது தயாநிதியின் இடத்துக்கு கொண்டு வரும் எண்ணம் தங்கள் மனதில் இருந்திருந்தால் அதை தெரிவித்திருந்தால் தயாநிதி தானே முன்வந்து ராஜினாமா செய்திருப்பார். அதனை சொல்லாமல் அவரை பெரிய குற்றவாளியாக சித்தரித்து நிர்வாகக் குழுவை கூட்டி, அதில் அவரை அழைத்து ஒரு விளக்கம் கூட கேட்காமல் & அவர் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுத்தீர்கள். தினகரன் அலுவலகம் தாக்கப்பட்டதற்கோ அங்கே மூன்று உயிர்கள் பலியானதற்கோ அந்த கூட்டத்தில் ஒரு அனுதாப தீர்மானம் கூட போடப்படவில்லை. நிர்வாகக் குழு முடிவு குறித்து அறிக்கை வெளியிட்ட தயாநிதி மாறன், ‘‘நான் திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகத்துக்கோ, தலைவர் கலைஞர் அவர்களுக்கோ என் மனதறிய எந்த துரோகமும் நினைத்தது இல்லை. உயிர் உள்ள வரை நினைக்கவும் மாட்டேன். என் தாத்தாவும், தந்தையும் என்னை அப்படி வளர்க்கவும் இல்லை. இந்த நிலையில் என்னை பதவி விலக்குவது தலைவருக்கு மகிழ்ச்சி தருவதாக இருந்தால் அதை ஏற்கவும் தயாராக உள்ளேன். ஏனென்றால் நான் தலைவர் கலைஞரின் வளர்ப்பு‘‘ என்றுதான் அறிக்கை கொடுத்தார்.

அங்கும் நாங்கள் கண்ணியம் காத்தோமே தவிர எங்கும் உங்களுக்கு எதிராக & உங்கள் கருத்துக்கு எதிராக ஒரு வாக்கியம் கூட கூறவில்லை. எங்கள் பணியை தொடர்ந்தோம். இந்த நிலையில் எங்களை அழித்தொழிக்க பலமுனை தாக்குதல்கள் தொடங்கப்பட்டன. எங்கள் தொழிலை நசுக்க பலவித முயற்சிகள் ஆட்சி அதிகாரத்தை பயன்படுத்தி எடுக்கப்பட்டன. பல நிகழ்வுகள் உங்கள் கவனத்துக்கு வராமல் தொடர்ந்தன. உங்களுக்கு உண்மையை மறைத்து & பல தகவல்கள் தரப்பட்டன. பல முறை அவற்றை உங்கள் பார்வைக்கு கொண்டு வந்தோம். அதில் சில நிகழ்வுகளை மீண்டும் நினைவுபடுத்த விரும்புகிறோம்.

கலைஞர் டி.வி. தொடங்கப்பட்டதும், சன் டிவியை முடக்கும் நோக்கத்துடன் சன் டிவியில் பணியாற்றிய சுமார் 250 பேர் ஒரே நாளில் இழுக்கப்பட்டனர். அதனை தங்கள் கவனத்துக்கு கொண்டு வந்தபோது அவர்களாகவே சன் டி.வி.யை விட்டு விட்டு வருவதாக தெரிவித்தார்கள் என்று உங்களுக்கு கூறப்பட்டதாக நீங்கள் தெரிவித்தீர்கள். அவர்களாகவே வந்திருந்தாலும் சேர்த்துக் கொண்டது எந்தவிதத்தில் நியாயம்? நமது தோழமைக் கட்சியை விட்டு விலகி யாராவது வந்து கழகத்தில் சேர்ந்தால் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வோமா? அதனையும் பொறுத்துக் கொண்டோம். பிறகு கலைஞர் டி.வி. ரேட்டிங்கை உயர்த்த வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக தமிழகத்தின் பல பகுதிகளில் சன் டி.வி. துண்டிக்கப்பட்டது. இதனால் பொது மக்களிடையே கொதிப்பு எழுந்ததும், அது தங்கள் கவனத்துக்கு கொண்டுவரப்பட்டு இரண்டு மூன்று நாட்களுக்கு பிறகு மீண்டும் சன் டி.வி. இணைப்பு கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. சன் டி.வி. தொடர்புடைய எஸ்.சி.வி. இணைப்புகள் சென்னை & மதுரை நகரங்களில் துண்டிக்கப்பட்டு வேறு இணைப்புக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டன.

இவற்றை எல்லாம் கடந்து மக்கள் ஆதரவுடன் சன் டி.வி. மேலும் மேலும் முன்னேறி நம்பர் 1 சேனலாக தொடர்ந்து இயங்கி வருகிறது. மத்திய அமைச்சர் திரு.ராசா மீதும், தமிழக மின்துறை அமைச்சர் திரு.வீராசாமி மீதும் மற்றவர்கள் மீதும் தினகரன் மற்றும் சன் டிவி கடுமையான விமர்சனம் செய்த காரணத்தால்தான் அறிவாலயத்தை விட்டு காலி செய்ய சொன்னதாக குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளீர்கள். அதுவல்ல உண்மை. கலைஞர் டி.வி.க்கு இடம் போதாததால் சன் டி.வி. யை காலி செய்ய சொன்னார்கள் என்பதுதான் நிஜம்.

மின்வெட்டு பிரச்னை, மத்திய அமைச்சர் ராசாவின் ஸ்பெக்ட்ரம் பிரச்னை, மற்ற பிரச்னைகள் எல்லாம் (நாங்கள் அறிவாலயத்தை காலி செய்த பிறகு) சமீப காலத்தில் தோன்றியவைதான். அந்த பிரச்னைகளை சன் டி.வி.யும் தினகரனும் மட்டும் வெளியிடவில்லை. தமிழகத்தில் உள்ள அனைத்து ஊடகங்களும் வெளியிட்டு வருகின்றன என்பதுதான் உண்மை. அதற்கு பிறகு தமிழக மின்துறை அமைச்சர் வீராசாமி நேரில் வந்து ‘கலைஞர் டிவிக்கு இடம் வேண்டும். உடனே சன் டி.வி. அலுவலகத்தை காலி செய்துவிடுங்கள்’ என்று கூறினார். ‘தாத்தாவே விரும்பினால் நாங்கள் புதிய இடத்திற்கு சன் டிவி அலுவலகத்தை மாற்றுகிறோம்; அதற்கு சில மாத அவகாசகம் கொடுங்கள்’ என்றோம்.

மின்துறை அமைச்சர் வீராசாமி சரி என்று கூறி சென்று விட்டார். ஓரிரு மாதங்களில் மீண்டும் வீராசாமி என்னை சந்தித்தார். ‘கலைஞர் டிவிக்கு உடனே இடம் வேண்டும். இங்கிருக்கும் சன் டி.வி.யின் மேஜைகள், அலமாரிகள், கேபின்கள் அனைத்தையும் அப்படியே விட்டுவிட்டு ஒரே வாரத்தில் காலி செய்ய வேண்டும் ’என்று நெருக்கடி தந்தார். நாங்களும் இரவு பகலாக வேலை செய்து ஒரே வாரத்தில் அவர் கேட்டுக்கொண்டபடி ‘விட்டுவிட்டு சென்றோம். சன் டி.வி. அலுவலகம் அறிவாலயத்திற்கு சென்றது எப்படி என்பதை தாங்கள் நினைவில் வைத்திருப்பீர்கள் என்று நம்புகிறோம்.

தி.மு.க. என்ற அரசியல் கட்சிக்கு சொந்தமான இடத்திற்கு சென்றால் ஆட்சி மாறும் போதெல்லாம் தொந்தரவு ஏற்படும் என்ற நிலையில் யாரும் அறிவாலயத்துக்கு வாடகைக்கு வர பயப்பட்ட நிலையில் சன் டி.வி.யை அங்கு கொண்டு வந்தோம். அங்கு வந்த பிறகு சன் டி.வி. செலவில் அறிவாலயத்தில் தாங்கள் அமரும் அறை, பத்திரிகையாளர் சந்திப்பு அறை & முரசொலி மாறன் அரங்கு, வெற்றிச் செல்வி கண் மருத்துவமனை போன்றவற்றை சீரமைத்து, அதற்காக நீங்கள் எங்களை அழைத்து பாராட்டியதை நாங்கள் மறக்கவில்லை. தாங்களே எல்லோரிடமும் ‘என் பேரன் கட்சி அலுவலகத்தை ஐந்து நட்சத்திர ஓட்டல் போல் மாற்றி அமைத்து கொடுத்துவிட்டான்’ என்று அங்கு வரும் தலைவர்களிடம் பெருமையாக கூறினீர்கள். அதை நீங்கள் மறந்திருக்க மாட்டீர்கள். கேட்ட தலைவர்களும் மறந்திருக்க முடியாது.

இப்போது சன் டி.வி. அறிவாலயத்தை விட்டு வெளியேறியபோது, ஏதோ பல இடங்களை இடித்துவிட்டது போன்ற ஒரு பிரமையை உருவாக்கியுள்ளீர்கள். உண்மையில், சன் டி.வி. வெளியேறிய பிறகு, கலைஞர் டி.வி.க்காக அங்கே சில மாற்றங்கள் செய்தபோது அதற்காக இடிக்கப்பட்ட நேரத்தில் எடுக்கப்பட்ட புகைப்படங்களை தங்களிடம் காட்டி, எங்கள் மீது தந்திரமாக வீண்பழி சுமத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. வீராசாமி கேட்டுக்கொண்டபடி பல கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்புள்ள உள் அலங்காரங்களை அப்படியே சன் டி.வி. விட்டுச் சென்ற உண்மை மறைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அறிவாலயத்தை விட்டு வெளியேறியதும் அமைச்சர் வீராசாமியையும், அமைச்சர் வீரபாண்டியாரையும் தயாநிதி மாறன் அழைத்து சென்று சன் டிவி காலி செய்த இடத்தை சுற்றிக்காட்டி, அவர்கள் திருப்தி அடைந்ததை உடனிருந்த பலரும் அறிவார்கள்.

ஆகஸ்ட் 1, 2008 அன்று அறிவாலயத்தை காலி செய்து சாவி ஒப்படைக்கும்போது ‘நீங்கள் கேட்டபடி ‘கிs வீs ஷ்லீமீக்ஷீமீ வீs’ நிலையில் ஒப்படைக்கிறோம் என்று கூறி, அறிவாலய மேலாளரிடம் சுற்றிக் காட்டி அவரும் ‘நல்ல நிலையில் இடத்தை பெற்றுக்கொண்டோம்’ என்று கையெழுத்திட்டு ஒப்புதல் கடிதம் கொடுத்துள்ளார். ஆனால் அன்றோ, அடுத்த வாரமோ, அடுத்த மாதமோ எதுவும் சொல்லாமல் பல மாதங்கள் கழித்து திடீரென்று எங்கள் மீது வீண்பழி சுமத்துவதன் நோக்கம் புரியவில்லை.

இந்த வீண்பழிக்கு உள்நோக்கம் தயாநிதிமாறனை கட்சியை விட்டு நீக்க வேண்டும் என்பதாக இருந்தால், அதற்காக எங்கள் மீது அவதூறு பிரசாரம் செய்திருக்க தேவையில்லை. தயாநிதி மாறன் ராஜினாமா செய்ய வேண்டும் என்பது தான் உங்கள் விருப்பம் என்று தெரிவித்திருந்தால், மறுநொடியே தயாநிதி மாறன் தன் ராஜினாமா கடிதத்தை அளித்திருப்பார். இப்படி மீண்டும் மீண்டும் எங்கள் மீது வீண்பழி சுமத்தவேண்டாம். ஒன்றரை ஆண்டுகளாக மற்றவர்கள் வீண்பழி சுமத்திய போதும், புழுதி வாரி இறைத்தபோதும் வாய்மூடி மவுனமாக இருந்தோம். இன்று தாங்களே ஒரு வீண்பழியை சுமத்தும்போது அதை எங்களால் பொறுத்துக் கொள்ள முடியவில்லை. தாங்கள் விரும்பினால் எங்கு வேண்டுமானாலும் எங்களது விளக்கத்தையும், எல்லா உண்மைகளையும் ஆதாரத்துடன் தெரிவிக்க தயாராக உள்ளோம்.
